Eggs to help reduce Breast Cancer Risk Part 1

Eggs: The Choline-Rich Food that helps reduce Breast Cancer risk

According to U.S. health statistics, one out of every eight women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. Just last year, more than 230,000 received a diagnosis of invasive breast cancer.

This is one of the greatest health fears that women face. The good news is that there are many things you can do to dramatically reduce your risk. In fact, getting enough of a certain B vitamin could reduce your risk by up to 44 percent.

This finding comes from a study conducted by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). It compared dietary intake data from 1,508 women with breast cancer to the same data from 1,556 women who were free of the disease. The researchers found that those with the highest intake of choline (>455 mg/day) had a 24 percent lower risk of breast cancer than women with the lowest intake of this B vitamin (<196 mg/day).
