Despite the
shortcomings of conventional medicine, it has achieved some astonishment
therapeutic results no other healing system can match in the treatment of
trauma, medical emergencies, serious infections and burns and premature birth,
as well as in cosmetic and rehabilitative procedures such as orthodontics and
reattachment of severed limbs.
But
conventional medicine has been considerably less successful in dealing with
chronic degenerative conditions, such as heart disease, cancer and stroke (the
nation’s three leading causes of death), and the myriad of conditions that are
stress related---everything from asthma, to chronic stomach distress. Natural healing can often help treat these
and other conditions.
